Kerry Local Sports Partnership facilitates a specified number of grant related schemes, namely:

- Kerry LSP Sports Grants

- Mums Get Active Grants

Background to Kerry LSP Sports Grants

The primary objective of Kerry LSP, under its strategic aim of participation is to facilitate increased opportunities and participation in sport and physical activity in County Kerry, across our key target groups. One such way of achieving this objective is to encourage children/adults to join a sport and maintain participation within this sport over a prolonged period on time.

As a means of supporting local sports clubs, Kerry LSP disseminates sports grants through the assistance of Irish Sports Council funds. Grants are allocated by way of application process.

Two strands of grant funding disseminated are as follows:

- Coach Education Grant

- Club Development Grant (Theme Focused)

                               o Theme 1 - Establishing a school/club link

o Theme 2 - Increased disability provision within a club
